Job description
We are looking for an AWS DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on experience in managing PostgreSQL environments and cloud-based infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in both database administration and AWS services. You will work closely with system administrators and IT leadership to ensure database performance, stability, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities
Support the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure and database systems.
Contribute to ongoing database migrations, upgrades, and optimization efforts.
Collaborate with infrastructure and development teams to ensure system reliability and performance.
Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and monitoring strategies.
Automate routine tasks and health checks using scripting tools.
Analyze performance metrics and proactively address potential issues.
Assist in developing and maintaining DevOps best practices, tools, and documentation.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members to ensure alignment and timely updates.
Job requirements
3+ years of experience in DevOps, Database Administration, or related roles.
Strong experience with PostgreSQL administration, performance tuning, and replication.
Proficiency in Linux environments (CentOS/Red Hat) and Bash/Shell scripting.
Hands-on experience with key AWS services: RDS, DMS, EC2, S3.
Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Nice to have
Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and broader DevOps practices.
